A Brief History
A.H. Built was officially founded by Andrew Hancock in 2023 after more than a decade of his designing and building for various clients in his spare time. During that time, he was a founding partner in Tobacco Motorwear, a high-end motorcycle apparel company. As demand for Andrew’s skills grew and more and larger projects came his way it became clear that it was time to make his avocation a fulltime occupation. And to build a company with an ethos that would not only respond to the demand but also make a unique impression in space design and fabrication.
Perhaps it was the countless hours of helping his father woodwork in the garage as a kid or the early success at turning ideas into real physical objects, but for Andrew, bringing something from unique vision into reality is in his blood. EVERYTHING and every material is a potential source of inspiration. What methods, materials, styles, colors, textures can be borrowed and implemented to make your vision a reality? The answers to that question result in purpose-built spaces that are also works of art. According to Andrew, “An imaginative well designed and built space creates an emotional connection when people are in it- it creates a relationship. Good design is good for business.”

Communication through the entire process is key. We start by listening and learning. We ask questions. We want to hear your ideas, objectives, constraints, strategy, and metrics for success. We keep those lines of communication open throughout the design and build to make sure things are right, down to the smallest detail right up to a successful installation.
We take what we've learned from you and get to work formulating a plan, timeline, milestones and budget. That’s where the fun really beings!
